Gardens & Guppies: Working together to prevent introductions of invasive species via the horticulture and aquarium trades

Wednesday, 21 September 2005, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Plant and Environmental Sciences Bldg, Room 3001, UC Davis

Gardens and aquaria provide recreation for an increasing number of Americans. As a result, the horticulture and aquarium industries, state agencies, and advocacy groups are beginning to explore mechanisms for prevention.

This symposium will provide a forum for researchers, agency personnel, industry representatives, staff from non-governmental organizations, and students to discuss the issues surrounding invasive species that originate via escapes from gardens and aquaria. Speakers include:

Free registration, attendance limited, refreshments provided. Please register in advance by 12 September.
