All members of Flag in the Ground Productions are graduate students at UC Davis and trainees in the Biological Invasions IGERT. They created Fear and Fishing in Lake Davis as a collaborative project and part of their IGERT program. Jarrett Byrnes is is currently working on the effects of species invasions and overfishing on marine food webs in Bodega Bay. He is a member of the Population Biology Graduate Group at UC Davis.Liz Chamberlin is a PhD candidate in Ecology and working towards her MA in creative writing. When not chasing bats and emergent diseases in Australia, or working on her short story collection, she is also the mother of Finn Veloz, our boom baby. Sarah Elmendorf, a graduate student in Ecology, studies plant diversity and distribution patterns in California grasslands. Ryan Fischer is a graduate student in History. His research addresses the environmental and cultural history of cattle in Hawaii and California. Suzanne Olyarnik is a graduate student in Population Biology. She is studying the ecology of seagrass beds in Bodega Bay. Amber Wright, also a graduate student in Population Biology, studies tropical lizards in the Caribbean. |
