Educational Mutualism: collaboration between academics and local teachers to address environmental issues

In this day-long symposium, we will explore two issues in environmental education:
- challenges and successes of environmental education, with a particular focus on how academics can collaborate with teachers and contribute accurate and up-to-date scientific content to curricula, and
- exploring how education may affect the next generation's actions on invasive species issues, because an informed public is an invested public.
